About Us

Kia Ora, Im Madga.

For many years, I dreamt of starting my own breeding kennel, but moving from South Africa to New Zealand and raising a family meant putting that dream on hold. In 2019, I welcomed Rosie, my first Pembroke Welsh Corgi from Delwyn Kennels, and everything changed. Her presence reignited my passion, and soon after, I registered as a breeder and began attending Breed Conformation shows.

Over time, my kennel has grown with care and intention. In 2023, I imported my first stud dog, Travis, from Australia. Each of my breeding dogs is thoroughly health tested, and my girls have a maximum of three litters in their lifetime. Once they retire, they’re placed in loving homes where they can enjoy a slower pace.

Every one of my dogs is loved like they’re the only one here. They’re part of our family, walk with us daily, and live life alongside us on the farm. The joy they bring is something I hope to pass on through each puppy that leaves MauMag.

Our Mission

At MauMag, our mission is to raise happy, healthy, and well-adjusted Pembroke Welsh Corgis who are true to type and full of heart. Whether they go on to the show ring, the field, or become someone’s best friend, we want every puppy to bring the same joy and companionship that our dogs have brought to us.

"I can’t say enough wonderful things about Magda. She originally gave us Buttercup — the love of my life. From the moment we brought her home, it was clear she had come from a place full of love, care, and excellent training. Buttercup was not only well-behaved but deeply affectionate, a true reflection of Magda’s dedication and the way she raises her dogs. When Buttercup was in an accident, Magda was there for us in every way — offering support, advice, and genuine care. She was our rock through one of the hardest times we’ve faced. And after Buttercup passed, Magda continued to check in on us. Those messages meant more than words can say — they showed how deeply she cares about the dogs she raises and the people they go to. Months later, when Buttercup’s son needed to be rehomed, the previous owners contacted Magda — and she immediately thought of us. At first, my husband and I were hesitant. The loss of Buttercup was still fresh. But after speaking with Magda, we felt ready to open our hearts again. Now, we have Georgie — a 10-month-old bundle of joy and Buttercup’s son. He’s loving, intelligent, and has brought so much light back into our lives. We feel incredibly lucky. Magda doesn’t just breed dogs. She builds relationships, she creates families, and she loves deeply. We’re endlessly grateful to her."
